Why a wrapped pallet can still become loose
A loose pallet may result from uneven stacking, insufficient connection to the base, excessive or inadequate stretch, or load settling. Inspect where movement begins after handling. Change the wrapping pattern or tension in a controlled trial and review carton strength. Adding layers without identifying the cause can increase consumption while leaving the same weak point uncorrected.
Compare the pallet before and after movement. If only the upper layers shift, examine the stack arrangement and upper wrap coverage. If the whole load moves relative to the pallet, review the connection between goods and base.
Look for settling cartons or products that change shape under load. Film applied to a compressible stack may become loose even when it was tight at dispatch. Review carton support and stacking before simply increasing film tension.
Record the point in the handling route where looseness appears. A change in vehicle loading, transfer equipment or storage time may explain a new problem. Revalidate the packing method under that condition and retain the revised work instruction.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
