PE stretch film: hand wrapping and machine wrapping
PE stretch film holds goods together through stretch and retained tension. Hand and machine rolls can differ in roll format and operating requirements, so a large roll is not automatically suitable for every wrapper. Use it for bundling and transport protection, with additional protection for vulnerable products when needed. It is not a replacement for a stable load or proper vehicle load securing.
For hand wrapping, the operator must be able to control the roll and reach the load safely. For machine wrapping, core fit, roll clearance and the film path need to match the equipment. Confirm the intended method before ordering.
Wrapping has several jobs: grouping units, limiting movement and covering exposed surfaces. Decide which job matters most for the shipment. Goods sensitive to scratches, rain or compression may need additional protection within the complete packing method.
Use a finished pallet as the reference when discussing performance. Show the supplier the stack height, corner shape and handling route. A photograph of an unused roll cannot reveal whether the final load will remain stable.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
