Why pallet loads need a separate top cover
A pallet top sheet protects an area that side wrapping can leave exposed. Used with a suitable wrapping pattern, it helps reduce direct dust and moisture exposure on the upper load surface. It does not make every pallet waterproof or suitable for outdoor storage. Review the whole pack, including the base, corners and handling conditions.
Start by looking down at a completed load. Side wrapping may leave carton tops, gaps between boxes or the centre of a mixed stack exposed. A suitable top sheet addresses that area as part of the overall packing method.
Consider how the cover meets the film around the sides. Unsupported edges and loose corners can move during handling and expose the goods again. The sheet size and the wrapping sequence should be agreed together rather than independently.
Check whether the products need ventilation or must be inspected without removing the cover. A top sheet can change airflow and access. Confirm those requirements before adding it to a pack that already has a validated storage process.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
