Packing strap as part of a complete transport pack
Packing strap can secure bundles and complement film wrapping, but it concentrates force along a narrow path. Select it according to the load, tool and joint method. The catalogue does not establish one material, tensile rating or lifting approval for every pictured roll. Confirm the supplied strap type and never use packaging strap for lifting unless it is expressly approved for that purpose.
Think of the strap, joint, corner protection and load as a single restraint arrangement. A strong roll cannot compensate for a poorly formed joint or a carton that collapses beneath the strap. Review the complete finished pack.
Describe whether the strap is intended to group individual items, close a bundle or complement a wrapped pallet. The equipment and joint method should suit that purpose. Do not assume that visually similar rolls fit the same strapping tool.
Plan how the strap will be removed at the destination. A tensioned band can move when cut, so follow the approved handling procedure and keep people clear. Include the opening method in the packing instructions where the receiver needs guidance.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
