Troubleshooting colour differences between batches

Check a new batch beside the approved sample under the same lighting and with the same number of film layers. Differences in layer count and the underlying goods can change the apparent shade. Keep roll and batch references, photographs and a wrapped sample. Contact the supplier if the difference falls outside the shade agreed in the order.

First compare like with like: the same background, lighting and number of layers. A darker carton or a tightly overlapped section can create an apparent colour difference even when the rolls look similar when viewed separately.

Check the label on the roll and the purchase specification to rule out a different colour or grade being issued to the packing station. Separate the questioned stock while the warehouse and purchasing teams review the reference.

When contacting the supplier, include the order number, roll labels and photographs taken under consistent conditions. Explain whether the concern is visual matching, sorting mistakes or concealment. Each concern needs a clear acceptance criterion for the replacement trial.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
