When a POF bag is more convenient than roll film

A preformed POF bag simplifies a packing process where a known bag size fits the product. It can assist grouping and dust protection. Whether it is processed as a shrink package depends on the supplied bag and the equipment. Confirm the actual grade, opening and sealing method, and obtain relevant documentation for any intended food application.

Preformed bags can make sense when the product shape and packing arrangement are reasonably consistent. The operator inserts the goods into an existing format rather than forming every pack from a roll. Product changes still require a fresh fit check.

Consider how the bag will be opened, filled and closed at the packing station. Small protrusions or awkward shapes may require extra insertion clearance. The bag should not be forced over an item in a way that weakens a corner.

Judge the bag in the finished packaging arrangement. Check visibility, closure and the handling protection required for the goods. If heat shrinking is planned, confirm that both the supplied bag and the contents are suitable for the approved process.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
