PE protective wrapping for pipes and coiled goods

Protective PE film can conform around pipes and coiled goods to help reduce handling exposure and keep packs organised. Product geometry changes the wrapping method: long pipes and circular coils need different coverage and supports. The catalogue allows discussion of width, roll diameter and pack format; final film characteristics must be confirmed for the specific job.

For long pipes, consider exposed ends, supports and the way several lengths are grouped together. For cable coils or tyres, consider the inner opening and curved surfaces. These shapes create different contact points and opportunities for film to snag.

Decide whether the film is mainly providing surface coverage, keeping a group organised or supplementing other packaging. Suitable straps, separators or supports may still be needed. The covering itself should not be treated as an approved lifting device.

Inspect a representative pack after removal as well as before dispatch. Surface appearance, readable identification and secure handling access are useful acceptance checks. Keep the agreed film dimensions and packing method linked to the particular product shape.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
